This is also a therapeutic area where SGS has a long experience since more than 25 years. Since 2003, about 60 phase 1 studies were performed in healthy subjects and 27 trials enrolling 2500 patients (schizophrenia, psychosis, ADHD, pain control, migraine Alzheimer and patients under anaesthesia/analgesia).

In addition to the standards psychometric tests, SGS offers a wide range of services for the assessment of CNS drug candidates:

• Positron emission Tomography (PET) for the determination of cerebral metabolism
• Blood flow
• Drug receptor occupancy
• Quantitative EEG evaluation
• Sleep EEG recording
